Excerpt from A Lightless Soul

Below is a short excerpt from A Lightless Soul, the first book in the Underworld series.

[Lilly whispers in John’s ear, “Go back, daddy, the beginning…” then followed by, “…What are you willing to sacrifice to find the person that killed me, daddy?” Her pitch grows lower and darker, and then it whispers in a growl, “I TOLD YOU TO STOP, YOU DIDN’T OBLIGE, SO NOW SHE MUST SUFFER.”

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Lilly shrieks disturbingly. From inside of John’s ears, blood leaks and runs down, filling his body with the red liquid. Her shrieking and crying doesn't stop and seems to increase in volume with every second that passes. John screams, covering his ears. There’s nothing more he can do. Her cries sound like she’s in agony, as if she’s being tortured.]
